Netflix on TV?
About three weeks ago the CEO of a Digital Marketing Company in which I work was telling us how very soon Internet as we know it will become integrated into television. This thought is now reality and it’s pretty exciting for the digital industry.
Netflix is preparing for the eventual extinction of its DVD-by-mail rental service. They have created a little unit, 5in by 5in, which will allow high speed internet users to access 10,000+ streaming movies and TV shows from Netflix library by one click of a button. Soon you will be able to watch the newest/oldest movies and TV shows instantly on your 50in LCD TV! ![]()

I’m personally not a huge TV fan but do enjoy watching some clean flix and without going to Blockbuster to get a movie or two. I have enjoyed Netflix’s “Watch Instantly” service but sometimes wish I could watch NEW releases instantly. This is the answer to that ‘want’!
Netflix is preparing this new internet technology to be available to all consumers willing to pay $99 for the unit and $8.99 a month - which is NOTHING compared to some other services. However Netflix is still projecting an 83 million dollar profit margin.
I personally feel this technology could change the digital industry; one that will eventually replace VCR/DVD players with digital internet. This makes me excited!
Do you feel this will change the digital world?
