Microsoft Broswer Loses Some More
Most of my online time is spent browsers the internet with Mozilla Firefox just because its faster, its add-ons, and it just rocks. But I do find myself using Internet Explorer for several certain applications that I do on a daily basis. I know during website building IE can get very annoying simply because it dose not hold the to the new code standards that Firefox does. When you get your code working on Firefox you find that it dose not work on IE. Although it can get on your last nerve, it’s defiantly not impossible to get your website or application to work in both browsers.
However, it seems that others are finding Firefox more useful and easier to use than the common internet browser from Microsoft. In fact, Microsoft’s browser market share has continued to fall down to 58.50% versus 65.48% (loss of 6.96%) in August 2007 and 82.99% (loss of 24.49%) in August 2005; Firefox has maintained its number 2 browser position and now is used by almost 19% (18.94%) of all users. I personally contribute to both because I use each browser for different situations. I normally have Firefox and Internet Explorer open at the same time. I have even found that iGoogle and GMail runs better for me on Internet Explorer rather than Firefox.
Since computers was computers and the internet was the internet, computers still to this day come with Internet Explorer pre-installed and ready to use. I find it very interesting that Microsoft is loosing ground since Firefox dose not come standard with every PC that you buy. Although I always have to download the lasest version of Firefox when I purchase a new system. But on the same hand I have to upgrade my Internet Explorer to the all new version 7.
What do you like/dislike about Firefox/Internet Explorer?
