“New York-based Clickable, is trying to build a lucrative business by selling advertisers a simple software tool to manage and improve their search-marketing campaigns with Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft.
“Clickable CEO David S. Kidder said “Part of the growth plan in the next year will be to create a single ‘Clickable’ interface for other types of Web advertising, including social media and display ads” Because the Founder’s Fund is an investor, Kidder said “Clickable will be looking to create tools for many of the venture firm’s other portfolio companies, such as Facebook or Twitter”

There’s room in the marketplace for more players. Big dogs like Google, Yahoo and Microsoft are less likely to be threatened by the smaller players & start ups like this - they’re more likely to be interested in buying them up and building on their great ideas//platforms.
For instance - expect to see Microsoft continue to expand it’s online advertising platform by gulping up other players through-out the year.
After the failed Yahoo! takeover fiasco, I imagine they’re going to be on a spending streak.
