Acer AS7520 Driver Update

Acer Laptop recently purchased the Acer AS7520 from NewEgg.com. So far I have enjoyed the laptop and would recommend it for anyone looking to get a decent laptop for a very reasonable price. However I did encounter an issue while trying to update my video drivers.

This is normally a very small issue that can be solved by going to the Acer website and downloading the updated drivers for your laptop - NOT the Acer 7520. Acer supplies you with all the drivers you need that came installed on your laptop out of package but so far not the updated video drivers.

You may say “you newb, that’s an easy fix” and it really is - if you find the right site. I searched tons of sites offering updated drivers in different beta versions but would get an error in the installing process saying it could not find the correct drivers for update.

Acer AS7520 Driver Update: Solution

To make a long story short, my friend found the site that fixed my problem. Download all the drivers you want but you will NOT find a fix until you go to LaptopVideo2Go.com and download the .INF file they supply you with on the LaptopVideo2Go forum.

- Download your updated video driver file

- Download the .INF file they also give you

- Open the driver files

- Copy the .INF file you downloaded to the driver files - YES OVERWRITE the current one

Again, I read several blogs, forums, and website that hinted that updating the drivers for this laptop were impossible. The above information fixed my problems and now I can run Age of Conan and other applications without any problems.
